Nina is at the peak of her career as a glamorous TV talk show personality. She's famous for confronting her guests with brutal directness. She's not exactly gentle with her team and the people around her, either. Nina's partner Andrii wants nothing more than a family with a child. But Nina couldn't care less about those plans or about Andrii's love. Nina's career only knows one direction: straight up.

She despises anyone who gets in her way. When Nina learns she has been diagnosed with bone cancer, she keeps the illness and the chemotherapy secret. She remains hard on herself and on others - and hardened in her loneliness.

Until Nina is forced is loosing her arm and is confronted with life's fundamental questions, the ones that are entirely new to her: friendship, hope, farewell, and the joy of living.
