In observational images, shaped by poetry and music, viewers witness people, stories, and cultures colliding in Istanbul.
The viewer follows the perspective and sensitivity of the German writer José F. A. Oliver. He spends a great deal of time in Istanbul, observing life and the pople for us through his poetic perception, which he underscores with reflections from his personal diary.
José F. A. Oliver is a poet from Hausach in the Black Forest. Together with him, we explore the city of Istanbul and witness the creative process how he transforms what he perceives into poetry. Out of this emerges this poetic documentary film.
