DA DOG SHOW

DA DOG SHOW

written & directed by Ralston Jover

(Philippines/German co production 2016)

“We take care about the worldwide rights”

BASED ON A TRUE STORY OF A FAMILY FATHER SURVIVING IN MANILA

The caring family father SERGIO lives with his children CELIA and ALVIN in a mausoleum in a cemetery in Metro Manila. SERGIO earns his money as a dog trainer with his street dog shows. His two trained dogs show nice tricks in the modern centre of Manila. But his earnings are hardly enough for survival. That is why his wife left him and her family. She took their youngest son EDDIE BOY with her to a province of Philippines.

SERGIO suffers a lot from having lost his family life and not having all his children around. His goal is to get EDDIE BOY back. To make this happen, he travels with CELIA to look for him.

SERGIO lives a doglife. To stay on the “good” path, he needs to fight hard with himself to gain love and faith for his children.

DA DOG SHOW was released at the Montreal Film Festival and had a festival career before launching in the Philippines and German cinemas 2016. It is the first feature film under the banner: "Welcome to Philippines Cinema"
